Rutledge AV engineers operational excellence with Pronto Software

5 February 2013 - Australian enterprise resource planning (ERP) and business intelligence (BI) provider, Pronto Software, has today announced a partnership with Rutledge AV, Australia’s largest audio visual systems provider.

Rutledge AV has selected Pronto Xi as its enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution of choice, following a competitive tender process.  Pronto will provide a complete solution that integrates Rutledge AV’s business processes from sales to project execution and service delivery.

According to Rutledge AV Process Improvement Manager, Richard Bakunowicz, the company selected Pronto Software as it was seeking an ERP solution that would improve project visibility across its national sites, as well as simplifying and improving operation efficiencies.

“We needed an end-to-end ERP solution that could grow and evolve with the business. We were very specific in our selection because the solution had to sit across Rutledge’s CRM, Sales, Accounting and Services business divisions.

“Pronto Software stood out from other ERP vendors because it offered a customisable and flexible toolset with Cognos BI to support our specific needs. They took the time to understand our business and delivered the solution based on exactly what was required,” added Mr Bakunowicz.

Rutledge AV specialises in the supply, installation and servicing of professional audio visual equipment and employs more than 250 employees around Australia. The company maintains operations in Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Darwin. Customers include BHP Billiton, Canberra Airport, NAB, Target and Toyota.

Information and data transparency across projects was also a key component in the selection process. According to Mr Bakunowicz, project teams previously struggled to view essential details relating to projects across the company’s national operations.

“One of the issues we had with the previous system was difficulty in accessing relevant project information from multiple sites. Various staff across different levels had no consistent approach that allowed visibility. With Pronto, we know that this problem is solved.

“Using Pronto will allow us to streamline the way we operate. Instead of using separate software programs for CRM, estimating, accounting, support and reporting, we will have a single program that integrates seamlessly with all areas of the business,” said Mr Bakunowicz.

David Jackman, Pronto Software Managing Director, welcomed the new partnership with Rutledge AV as it represents another example of ERP solutions supporting business transformation and evolution.

“Service providers such as Rutledge AV often have sophisticated requirements and by listening to their needs, we were able to adapt Pronto Xi to complement their business. Pronto Xi provides linkage from CRM to Project Costing to Service Management, key to helping Rutledge AV keep an eye on profitability,” said Mr Jackman.

A moment of Inspiration for Australia’s largest chain of specialty paint stores

Melbourne, 4th December 2012: Australia’s largest paint specialist group of stores, Inspirations Paint, has selected Pronto Software to provide enterprise resource planning (ERP) and business intelligence (BI) services to 100 of its retail stores nationwide.

The competitive tender saw Pronto Software beat out Microsoft Dynamics to deploy its flagship solution Pronto Xi Dimensions, across the Company’s franchise stores and national office.

Inspirations Paint chose to deploy Pronto Xi modules to integrate Financials, Distribution, Inventory, CRM and Point of Sale operations across the business.

Tired of an outdated system that was not unified between its national network of retail outlets and national headquarters, Gary Jeston, Financial Controller at Inspirations Paint, began looking for a solution that would streamline processes, add functionality and eliminate double handling, while maintaining a high level of data integrity.

“One of the most complicated elements of the brief was to ensure our data integrity would not be compromised. Pronto Xi gives us peace of mind because this data is consolidated and an inherent part of our system, making it easier to gain insights, so we can focus on growing our business,” said Jeston.
According to Jeston, the approach Pronto Software took to deliver a tailored solution also played a major part in the final decision to choose the Australian software company’s solutions over other vendors.

“From the outset we were impressed with Pronto Software’s ability to listen to our requirements and adapt a solution that would not only meet immediate needs but offer the flexibility to scale as our requirements evolve. The team at Pronto took the time to consult with us from the very start.

“We were looking for a solution that could reflect our business operations from point of sale in each store, to financial reporting at head office. Throughout the tender process, Pronto Software impressed us with its Pronto Xi Dimensions solution because it seamlessly integrates ERP with BI. Ultimately, Pronto Software won out against the competition due to its technical innovation, ease of implementation, total cost of ownership and ability to deliver on the solution we need,” added Jeston.

Pronto Software Managing Director David Jackman said Pronto Xi Dimensions is a good fit for retail businesses.

“With a strong heritage in the Australia retail industry, Pronto Software delivers integrated ERP and BI solutions to operate seamlessly in all environments from head office to franchise stores. As demonstrated by the partnership with Inspirations Paint, our software is designed to give customers the flexibility to tailor a solution that gives the user deeper business insights to empower intelligent decision making and business growth,” said Jackman.

Pronto Software Reveals Strong Business Growth and International Expansion

  • Achieves double digit revenue growth
  • Opens new offices in Perth, Adelaide and Dallas, Texas
  • Launches new Sri Lanka Development Group

Melbourne, 20 November 2012: Australian enterprise resource planning (ERP) and business intelligence (BI) software provider, Pronto Software, has today announced strong financial year results and business growth.

The company has expanded its footprint in local and international markets with the opening of new branches in Perth, Adelaide and Dallas, USA. This is an important part of the strategy to expand Pronto’s distribution network to effectively reach more customers, and together with business partners, provide them with high quality service and support.

Fueling this move is increasing interest from companies who are keen to optimise efficiencies and acquire software that provides them with insights into their own operations.

Pronto is also heavily investing in research and development, doubling the floor space of the Melbourne Development Centre and establishing a new Sri Lanka Development Group based in Colombo. The Australian Development Centre will focus on innovating the core Pronto product suite and infrastructure, while the international division will be the hub for an expanding portfolio of web, mobile and integrated technologies with global reach.

Strong recruitment in both locations will strengthen Pronto’s capability to expand the product portfolio and create the best business management software for its growing global customers.

“We have enjoyed 12 months of exciting growth and change. This has been a year of strong performance as we once again experienced double digit growth. Our revenue is up 15 per cent on the prior year and net profit after tax is up 13 per cent,” said David Jackman, Managing Director, Pronto Software.

“While the lack of certainty in the marketplace today often means conservative management decisions, we at Pronto prefer to invest where the opportunities lie. We continue to invest heavily in research, technology and our staff, with the aim of developing software solutions that are innovative, flexible to suit unique customer requirements and deliver business results for users,” Jackman said.

Pronto Software’s positive financial performance for FY 2012 follows a year of strong investment in research and development, as well as senior leadership appointments and staff at all levels across the business. In early-2012, the company also undertook a major re-brand.

Jackman also said the latest announcements from Pronto Software represent an exciting time for the company and the recent financial results are a sign the company will continue to grow in local and international markets into 2013 and beyond.

“Pronto Software is in a great position going into FY 2013. We have been growing steadily for the last 10 plus years and expect our growth to continue,” Jackman concluded.
