We’re seeking a Technology Team Lead who enjoys leading engineers, solving complex technical challenges, and improving how teams build and deliver software in a modern environment.

About the role

This role leads a team of developers and engineers across product development, delivery, and support. You’ll be responsible for technical direction, system reliability, and ensuring our platforms continue to evolve to meet customer and business needs.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll balance people leadership, technical decision-making, and continuous improvement across engineering practices.

About you

What you’ll be doing

• Lead and mentor developers and engineers to deliver high-quality outcomes across projects and support work
• Own technical direction across applications and infrastructure, ensuring solutions are scalable and maintainable
• Guide architecture decisions and actively manage technical debt
• Drive improvements in system performance, reliability, and security
• Identify and implement opportunities to use AI and automation to improve engineering efficiency and product capability
• Manage technical risks and ensure issues are identified and resolved proactively
• Work with delivery, product and customer-facing teams to scope solutions and support technical design
• Support pre-sales activities including solution design and technical input where required
• Contribute to continuous improvement across development processes, tooling, and standards
• Ensure clear documentation, knowledge sharing, and effective handover into support and operations

 

What you’ll bring

• Proven experience as a Senior Developer or Technology Team Lead in a commercial environment
• Strong experience across modern web technologies, APIs, and integrations
• Ability to lead technical decisions and guide system architecture
• Experience mentoring developers and supporting team growth
• Exposure to infrastructure, hosting environments, and platform operations
• Practical experience or strong interest in AI-assisted development and automation
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work across multiple priorities
• Clear and effective communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have

• Experience with ecommerce or CMS platforms
• Experience working in Ruby on Rails environments
• Exposure to ERP integrations (such as Pronto Xi)
• Experience working in a consulting or client-facing environment
