Becker Mining Australia – Extracting stronger performance and increasing savings

Becker Mining Australia is a wholly owned subsidiary of Becker Mining Systems AG, based in Germany. The company provides equipment and services to the mining industry in the areas of energy distribution, communications, proximity detection, ventilation and pumping to coal and metalliferous mines across Australia.

Becker Mining was using a proprietary ERP and accounting package but as the company’s needs outgrew this system, they chose to implement Pronto Xi to deliver insights that could scale. Not long after implementation, Becker Mining Systems AG called for a global IT consolidation, with the Australian operations also expected to follow. Following significant issues with the implementation in other entities, Becker Mining Australia opted to remain with Pronto Xi – and upgrade to a new version, confident that the software would seamlessly integrate with the parent company’s IT system and continue to help the business move forward.
