We are seeking an Industry Analyst to join our Product team, supporting our Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, and Retail product domains.

About our Industry Analyst Opportunity:

We’re looking for an Industry Analyst to play a key role in shaping evidence‑based product decisions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys research, analysis, and turning complex information into clear, actionable insights that help Product Managers make confident strategic choices.

You’ll research market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity across ERP, cloud, and related technology landscapes. Working closely with Product Managers and cross‑functional teams, you’ll support product discovery, roadmap planning, and feature prioritisation, while also helping keep product research and day‑to‑day workflows well organised.

If you’re analytical, detail‑oriented, collaborative, and comfortable blending research with coordination activities, this role offers a strong foundation for growth in product and strategy.

Your Mission:

Your mission as an Industry Analyst is to empower Product Managers with clear, timely, and evidence‑based insights that drive confident product decisions. You’ll research and synthesise industry, market, customer, and competitor information into practical, well‑structured outputs that inform product strategy, roadmap planning, and feature prioritisation.

Acting as both a research specialist and an operational enabler, you’ll ensure product discovery and delivery activities are well supported, organised, and aligned. Through high‑quality analysis, strong collaboration, and efficient coordination of product team workflows, you’ll help keep the Product team focused on customer needs, emerging trends, and strategic outcomes.

Where you’d be working:

You’ll be part of the Pronto Product team, based in our Victorian office – We offer a 3/2 hybrid work arrangement and a culture that values long-term relationships, collaboration, and innovation.

What you’d be doing (your day will look like this):

  • Researching industry trends across ERP, cloud, cybersecurity, and related markets to inform product strategy.
  • Monitoring competitor products, features, pricing, and positioning, and maintaining competitor trackers.
  • Gathering and analysing customer feedback from surveys, interviews, support channels, and stakeholder input.
  • Synthesising insights into clear, structured research summaries, briefs, reports, and presentations.
  • Supporting business cases, roadmap planning, and feature prioritisation with data and analysis.
  • Validating product concepts through discovery activities, user feedback, and structured analysis.
  • Collaborating closely with Product Managers to understand research priorities and support discovery work.
  • Maintaining accurate, well‑organised research repositories, documentation, sources, and processes.
  • Coordinating day‑to‑day product team workflow, including team boards, progress tracking, and risk escalation.
  • Supporting meetings, workshops, and discovery sessions through preparation, documentation, and follow‑ups.

We’re looking for an Industry Analyst who has:

We’re looking for an Industry Analyst who brings curiosity, structure, and strong collaboration skills, along with:

  • A degree in IT, Software Engineering, or equivalent industry experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Retail.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS, Cloud/Infrastructure, ERP environments, and business requirements.
  • 1–3 years’ experience in research, business analysis, product support, or a similar analytical role.
  • Ability to gather insights from multiple sources and clearly summarise findings with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven project coordination skills, including time management, planning, and priority management.
  • Experience conducting customer surveys, user research, and working within Agile or product delivery environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative, team‑focused approach.
  • A professional, adaptable mindset with the ability to work under guidance and follow defined frameworks.
  • Willingness to travel interstate and overseas as required.
  • Willingness to undergo a police check.
